Recently, a call came into a sheriff’s department in New York informing about a car accident that caused a dog injury.
Sergeant Chris Howlett immediately headed to the place of the accident. He spotted a female freezing dog on the side of the road, on a snowbank.
The poor thing lied on the snowy ground. Soon the police officer removed his jacket and wrapped the weakened dog with it. He hoped that the dog would stay alive until the help would come.
So the sergeant continued comforting the dog, showing that she was not alone. He could prevent the dog from going into a shock.
Gladly, the poor thing had no serious injuries.
After some time the help arrived and transferred the dog to a vet clinic.
Her owners were notified about what had happened and went to the police department to take the doggie home. They were told that the dog would be soon recovered.
So the owners of the lucky dog waited for some time before she would get stronger.
