Originally, the specie was come from the region of Valais Canton, located in Switzerland in the 15th century.
But, until 1962 the cutest sheep were not accepted as a breed.
They are typical inhabitants of the mountainous parts of Switzerland.
This adorable creatures are covered with a fluffy wool, which is a great protection from the strong winter cold and winds typical to that mountainous country.
They became famous for their unusual and curious black and white curly faces, black spotted knees, and strictly expressed horns.
They are differed from their other sheep friends also in their characters: black noses are very friendly and easygoing with humans.
Likewise, they are interesting pets with their curly hard wooly cover, and calm personality.
They also became famous for their well behavior, as well as the usefulness to their owners and farmers, producing great amount of healthy wool.
However, these cutie creatures are also under damage to became diminished as well. The global climate change is a cause to worry about their future existence.
