Mother and son Brown left for themselves the young cat they saved on a busy highway, or rather, on a highway overpass. Brown Jr. described the incident as follows:
“My mother and I were driving along the overpass when a small cat suddenly flew out of the van that had overtaken us. He almost fell down, but still managed to catch his front paws on the edge of the bridge, and he hung there.
We were shocked. Mom stopped the car, and I jumped out and raised my hand, urging everyone who followed in that direction to stop – because there was a risk that the cat would get out and, frightened, rush into the roadway.
The drivers of other cars were sympathetic, and I ran up to the kitten hanging on one of its claws and picked it up until it fell down.”
Mom and son Brown took the found baby to the veterinary clinic, where he was examined and a verdict was made that he was healthy. Only scared.
But mother, Erin Brown, noticed the close connection that arose between the kitten and her son – and was glad that the boy had a kind heart.
So the cat got into the family of its rescuers and got the name Lucky – deservedly so!
