Red panda gives birth to twin baby cubs: the species are in the list of endangered animals

Animal birth is a big event in zoos especially when the newborn is from an endangered species. Thanks to humans concerned about red panda’s repopulation, this sweet beasts continue spawning.

On July 1, at the Idaho Falls Zoo twin red pandas were born. It was a special moment not because the red pandas were twins but generally it was the second time for the zoo to witness a red panda birth.

Zoo workers had to monitor the babies as they weren’t sure if the mama panda would care of them. Red pandas are known for abandoning their children but some of them can be really good moms.

It was the case of Linda that didn’t refused taking care of her cubs. On the contrary, dad Marvin is passive. He lets the mom take the lead.

It was Marvin borned in the zoo previously in 2019. Unfortunately, his mother neglected to take care of him.

There is less than 10,000 red pandas left in nature. That’s why every newborn is very important for future repopulation.

We are so glad that the pandas are doing great together. Bravo Linda, for being such a good mom!
