When we think about a locale for dog adoption, shelters come to our minds. But this story reveals that there is another locality in Brazil where these four-legged friends get adopted.
Father João Paulo Araujo Gomes is a priest in a church in Gravatá, Brazil. He helps stray dogs, affords them with a roof, food and drink.
It all has begun in 2013 when Gomes arrived in the city. Local volunteers asked to buy cookies. Donations would help them to afford better conditions for some street dogs.
The priest suggested the volunteers advertising their good deeds during masses. Then he also joined the NGO.
He was an active part of the projects. Soon, the man welcomed stray dogs into the church.
He started adopting abused dogs. With joint strength, Gomes and the volunteers were able to feed the animals and find forever homes for them.
The kind step of these people has been appreciated by numerous humans. The man stimulates all the visitors to adopt the stray pups.
What would happen if all the churches in the world would rescue animals and ask humans to adopt them?!
This example is so powerful!
