This amazing story goes back to 1962 when a man named Bernard |Grimshaw spent all his savings buying a small island.
The inhabited island was located in the center of the Indian Ocean.
His friends supposed him to be tired of this civilization just searching for new adventures.
However, nobody knows that he has covertly searched for pirate treasures on it for more than 40 non-stop years.
Moreover, he also has refused to give his precious area to an Arab sheik for $50 million.
The land took the man just $13,000.
The size of Moyenne is just 0.089 square km which could be a tiny paradise for a person.
Soon, after buying the land our hero moved there and started to explore the island as fast as possible.
It turned out, Grimshaw had been searching for the prominent pirate Olivier Levasseaur’s treasures.
History says that the pirate has been the last one whose ship was seen exactly to Moyenne in 1729.
Logically, he might hide his treasures there.
So, the man devoted all his 40 years to flourishing the island.
Soon, he planted exotic trees, mango trees, and palms to be able to dig deeper.
So after 40 years, he dug up almost the entire territory, but, in vain: he didn’t find them.
However, he turned the island into a wonderful paradise on Earth.
He “invited” different birds to live in his place and provided a comfortable shore for tortoises to escape from being hunted on other islands.
The small island now is under the government.
It is a national park, where treasure searching is not allowed.
