This is a very strange, but adventurous and dangerous story, about a man, who made his special day memorable.

On August 27th, the Nebraska man decided to raft the Missouri River by a huge pumpkin boat, which he had prepared for the very purpose.

Soon his story got viral, for he had drafted over 41 miles down the river on a huge 846-pond pumpkin.

The man was so fond of his boat, that he named it SS Bertha.

SS Bertha brought his fame: he set a Guinness World record with his loyal and durable friend.

The man, named Hansen set off by his own grown pumpkin boat and rafted more than 12 hours, breaking the record of 25 miles.

Hansen confessed, that the first 5 miles were a piece of cake for him, but after paddling about 18 miles, the team realized, that they were so long would be on the road.

He also added, that it was a dangerous trip too, because he had to stay on top of the pumpkin, trying to balance it, so that a wave or a wind couldn’t turn it over.

That was really a great achievement for Hansen, firstly to grow the world’s largest homemade pumpkin, and then to set a new record riding on it.
