A few years ago, a woman bought a little gosling that grew up with her chickens. She became a real friend for the owner, and just like a dog, she followed her along with another goose.
One day the goose disappeared from the yard. Only a few feathers remained of it. The owner decided that a fox had dragged him away. She grieved for a long time and had already come to terms with the loss of her friend.
And one morning she was awakened by a soft knock on the door. The woman’s husband went to see who was there. Their goose stood in the doorway, exhausted and weak. She knocked on the window with her beak to let the owners know about her arrival.
Most likely, the goose fought with the fox that kidnapped her. She was able to defeat the predator. It took her a week to get back home and still got there. The owners consider her a real hero and are very happy to see the goose back.
In nature, it may happen that weaker animals get free from predators. It’s so good to know that this goose could survive a battle with such an animal as a fox.
We are glad for the owners of the bird. We also hope that the goose will live her life until she passes away with a natural way. Now let’s wish her a long life with her loving family.
