In some people’s opinion, white bats can only be albinos. That’s wrong, there is a species of them living in the rainforests of Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Nicaragua.
These creatures are born with white fur. They look like cotton candies. Some people say they don’t actually exist. It’s not true.
The unique species are famous as Honduran white bats.
Photographer Supreet Sahoo was lucky to capture a once-in-a-lifetime sight. This man is a bird photographer. He went to the forests of Costa Rica to take some good pictures when he saw a group of bats under a great leaf of a plant all by chance.
These buddies are very small and they remain small during their whole lifetime. These are the biggest sizes they grow up to. There is no difference in the sizes of males and females.
Although they are white-colored, it’s still difficult to notice them. Now Honduran white bats are listed as endangered species.
These bats form a group of six-seven and live together with a peaceful life.
They eat leaves and never change their place of living.
Look at the wonderful captures of these fluffy balls. Indeed, how lucky Sahoo was to notice these sweeties!
