Meet Pat Smith, this warmhearted elderly woman who spent a whole year cleaning up the beaches of litter.
She was from the United Kingdom and cleaned the south coast of the country from trash and plastic.
She became very popular after her nature-saving action, and later she was called “Action Nan”.
Likewise, she has participated in several environmental programs against the pollution of nature.
Her story is so inspiring: how an elderly grandma was encouraged by a documentary about environmental protection.
And, immediately stepping into action, she even gathered her team volunteers to separate plastic trash from beach sands and shores.
Among the volunteers, also were her grandchildren who came to support their “great” grandma.
As Smith stated, during her activity, people even confused her with a service worker.
She added, that our community did not have the responsibility to take care of nature by itself.
People used to work only when there was the motivation or a salary.
But, people should realize the importance of keeping the planet clean in the first place.
She also claimed, that after her against plastic campaign many people joined them.
After the story became famous, most people got in touch with her to join their team.
So, she even inspired 600 local companies to restrict the usage of inessential plastic.
