No wonder that the oddest friendships are better. Representatives of different species find it interesting to interact with each other. Yes, sometimes it’s the curiosity, sometimes it’s the care and sometimes it’s loneliness.
In this story, a stray cat one day sneaked into the lynx enclosure to become friends with her. It’s quite strange but the wild animal accepts her with love and shares her food.
Maybe it’s the loneliness that makes the lynx be kind and caring with the cat. One way or another, animal friendships are so simple and pure.
For us – humankind it’s hard to relate to people that are quite different from us. I think it’s not an issue of different species of living beings, it’s having the same needs and experience that connect all of us.
It’s so important that most animals don’t care what species they can make friends with.
That happened also with the cat and lynx in the Leningrad Zoo located in St. Petersburg. It’s an old zoo in Russia where recently a homeless cat has appeared and homed herself in the enclosure of a European lynx.
The latter didn’t argue and has never attracted the cat. On the contrary, the lynx shares her food with the new inhabitant of the zoo. They seem happy together.
Both of them were lonely. That’s why they now spend a good time together. The lynx is like a mother to the cat. She loves and cuddles her as its own child.
Mutual love and care are powerful to overcome loneliness. What a great weapon is love!
