Elie the elephant was found walking alone on the savannah in South Africa. In this country, these animals often become victims of poachers, which results in the fact that the calves are left without parents. However, Elie’s case was different.
He was abandoned by his flock.
When people met Elie, he was in a terrible state. He had an umbilical hernia and an abscess, as well as an open, infected wound. 99 percent of elephants pass away in this condition. And at first, it seemed that this baby elephant would not survive.
But Ellie survived.
At the same time, he became depressed. There were no other calves around him, and he was very sad without a family.
