The story of a cat named Bubby began in Canada, in Grand Falls Windsor. A city dweller named Boyd Abbott saw a crippled cat near his house, missing one limb and the end of its tail.
An elderly man invited the animal to sit in his chair, and since then the two have become friends.
Boyd fed and took care of Bubby, but unfortunately died soon after due to his advanced age. His pet also disappeared. Abbott’s neighbors claimed that the man’s favorite had disappeared before the death of his master.
And yet, at first, caring people brought containers with food and water to Boyd’s dwelling, but Bubby did not appear, and everyone thought that he would never return.
Eight years passed, and one day something amazing happened. Boyd’s neighbor noticed a white and red cat, very similar to Bubby, near the house of the deceased man. Attempts to catch the animal were unsuccessful.
But the imminent approach of a cold winter and the condition of the crippled and severely emaciated animal raised concerns. The cat looked thin and weak, but he couldn’t handle it.
Then Abbott’s neighbor turned to the new tenants of the house of the former owner Bubby for help. They did not know about the sentimental story, but nevertheless, with joy and without hesitation, agreed to help.
On one of the cat’s regular visits, the homeowners let him in, and then they finally managed to catch Bubby.
Boyd’s neighbor took the cat to a veterinary clinic, and after rehabilitation, the animal ended up in a shelter. Fortunately, he was not there for long: one of the employees was so imbued with the suffering and difficulties of the beast that she took pity on the cat and decided to shelter him.
The girl said that at first, it was very difficult for her. Bubby was very wild and could not get used to the owner and the unfamiliar house. But gradually the cat began to master and adapt. Now he trusts his owner and feels great.
His sad face reminds of former hardships and a difficult fate. But now, thanks to caring people, Bubby has found a place where he is loved and cared for.
