Sometimes dogs are born with shortcomings. They are not just different from others, they also have physical challenges.
Some of them have to adapt to the difficult life, some of them are lucky to get the attention of kind people.
Human kindness is all these poor creatures need.
A dog was born with a rare condition. Due to her paws being upside-down, this dog wasn’t able to walk properly. It was a painful attempt for this dog. Gladly, vets gave her a life-changing experience.
Siggi was born with a rare condition due to which she had to walk on her wrists. The 13 weeks old rat terrier was struggling to walk because of the pain she experienced in her wrists.
Crawling on wrists was also dangerous because these parts of the body are not intended to carry weight.
The luck smiled for Siggi when she was taken to Oklahoma State University. The vets here had previously successfully operated another dog with the same problem.
It was a good chance for this poor pup. The vets had to broke paw bones and realign them accurately using splints and orthopedic pins.
Although there were some unexpected complications because of the deformity of Siggi’s one elbow, the operation went successful.
Siggi is still in the recovery process. She is doing well and X-ray exams show that her bones are healing.
Now, this cute pup lives in a foster family and makes her first right steps on the paws.
Let’s hope that she will meet the best humans who will take the adorable pup into their family.
Also, huge thanks to all the vets that save the lives of disabled dogs!
